Preferred method for connecting microPOD to wiTECH Diagnostic Application

SUMMARY

A wireless (WiFi) connection is the preferred method to use the Chrysler wiTECH (“wireless Technician”) Diagnostic System.  A reliable wireless connection is essential to ensuring technicians are able to efficiently diagnose and repair Chrysler Group vehicles. 


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In some circumstances it is recommend that a USB connection be utilized.  In these cases, please ensure you are using the original USB cable that was shipped with the microPOD kit (picture below).  Utilizing a different USB cable not shipped with the microPOD kit may damage the microPOD USB connector.  Below are examples when a USB cable may be required:

  • If you are experiencing issues with your wireless network
  • If a Service procedure / document recommends usage of the USB cable.
