Flashing red light on VCI Pods and MicroPODs

Article ID: 424
Last updated: 25 Apr, 2014

Description:

With previous versions of the wiTECH application if your laptop either lost network connection or powered down unexpectedly during the flash process you would be forced to initiate the process all over again.

Starting from wiTECH 14.02, you will notice flashing red light on VCI Pods and MicroPODs. This is a new feature designed to notify the user that a flash is being performed by the device. The feature allows a flash process to continue running even if the PC was powered off or is disconnected from the network.  Please view the video demonstration below for further information.

Please note that not all available vehicle flashes support this new feature and if the selected flash doesn't cause the red light to flash on your VCI device then you must maintain your connection to ensure the process finishes successfully.

Please email the wiTECH Premium Support Help Desk at witechsupport@dcctools.com if you have any further questions on this new feature.
