Article ID: 358
Last updated: 21 Jul, 2014

DESCRIPTION:

  • The wiTECH 13.03 diagnostic application currently supports K-Line (KDA) Diagnostics in a limited number of markets.
  • Users will be required to register their VCI Pod or StarMOBILE in order to access KDA with this release.

PROCEDURE:

  • Users receiving a “Registration Required” message when attempting to launch a KDA-supported ECU should email the wiTECH Premium Support Help Desk at witechsupport@dcctools.com to create a ticket to register their device.

The email should include the following information or there may be a delay in the registration process!

In the subject line of the email of the email enter:  "KDA Device Registration"

Provide the following information in the body:

  • Dealer Code
  • Valid Email Address
  • Device Serial Number
    • VCI Pod (WVP-00000 located on the bottom of the device)
    • StarMOBILE (Cxxxx-xxxxx located on the bottom of the system status screen or on the tool belt loop)

When the device serial number has been added to the registration system, you will receive an email confirmation from the wiTECH Premium Support Help Desk via your wiTECH KDA registration request ticket.

Please note: This process can take 24 to 48 hours.

Note:  To Support wiTECH Release version 15.01 we have updated some of the existing entitlements and added additional ones. If you believe your tool is registered and you are receiving a registration error, please email the wiTECH Premium Support Helpdesk at witechsupport@dcctools.com with the device information.
