Vehicle Effected:
2012 FF (Fiat 500)
ECU:
8GMC PCM (Powertrain Control Module)

Subject:
There was an issue identified with the 2012 FF PCM failing frequently when updating the PCM.  This issue was initially believed to be related to the vehicle battery voltage level.  The issue has been investigated and we have found that this issue is NOT related to the battery voltage level.  However, it is still important to keep the battery voltage between 12 - 14 volts when performing any update procedure.
Resolution:
This issue was addressed with an updated flash file release made on April 15th, 2011 and no action is required to be taken by the technician / user.

If you continue to have an issue flashing this ECU please contact the wiTECH help desk at 1-888 wiTECH-1 (1-888-948-3241) for assistance.
